The Tempe Little Theatre is the arts and cultural little engine that could. Founded in 1971, the Tempe Little Theatre is a testament to one community's determination and creative drive to build a low-cost, alternative cultural venue for education and entertainment.

Knows as the "theater of, for, and by the community," the Tempe Little Theatre is the artistic heartbeat of Tempe. It produces four plays each year in 4 different genres: drama, comedy, musical and mystery.

Throughout the metropolitan Phoenix area, audiences have been drawn to the Tempe Little Theatre to watch top-notch performances in an intimate setting.

To further the theater's impact on the community, the Tempe Little Theatre awards scholarships each year to graduating seniors to continue their study of the theater.

Past performances at the Tempe Little Theatre have included "Sweet Charity," "The Thing About Men," "Two by Two" and "Kiss Me Kate."
