Phoenix TheatreThe Phoenix Theatre enjoys the distinction of being the oldest arts institution in Arizona, as well as one of the oldest arts organizations in the country.

With its heavyweight reputation, the Phoenix Theatre delivers on the promise of entertainment for all ages. The versatile theater was founded in 1920 as Phoenix Little Theatre, and includes the following major programs and performance areas:

  • The Mainstage - The theater's main auditorium-style seating is host to a professional program of adult theater pieces. Cookie Company - This very special program provides quality theater for youth and family groups.
  • PT Connections: Education & Outreach - If you can't come to the theater, let the theater come to you! This exciting programming option stages performances for outside organizations, off site.
  • Phoenix Theatre Academy - Up and coming talent needs a place to spread its wings and fly. Special programming and training designed by the staff ensures an enriching experience for all who participate.
  • New Works Festival - Theater in the raw, as it is being developed by playwrights and performers. Includes staged readings and performance workshops.
