The Phoenix Suns are a highly successful NBA team based in Phoenix, and are members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. The team plays at the US Airways Center, dubbed the "Purple Palace" thanks to its eye-catching purple seats.

The Suns have made a name for themselves since they began playing in 1968. They are fourth for best all-time winning percentage, winning 56 percent of their games. In the team's history, the Suns have 19 50-win seasons, have made the Western Conference Finals nine times, and have made it to the NBA finals twice.

One of their most famous players was Charles Barkley, the flamboyant all-star power forward who won the MVP in 1993.
